A friend of mine told me that he and his team employ a weblog and Podcasts for one of the marketing subject in Marketing Department, Monash University. He said that the podcast is really valuable for students and yet, the students really like the podcast. It is a new way in delivering the course, and yet, it does not replace the lectures in a class, but it enrichs the class and tutorials. I tried to listen to some of the podcasts and I find they are very interesting way. They dont just record a lecture from the class, but they put various things in the podcasts including interviews, music. It is kind of funs. We are listening a lecture as if we are listening a talk show program from our favorite radio sation.

Please have a look here:

Have a try to visit that blog and listen some of the podcasts there, and yeah, what do you think?

Hi!

This is Peter Wagstaff, the creator of the podcasts you mention! It’s so good to see that you’ve been listening.

My intention has been to ADD to the students’ experience, rather than replace any existing aspect of their learning. These podcasts are not designed to replace the lectures. You will see that they link to all other aspects of the course.

I’d love to hear what you and others think about my podcasting experiment!

Cheers,
Peter.
